I believe you have to DESELECT all of the bins, then the Close Project should appear. That's at least what I see on MC 8.10.

Re: Exporting clips

I was going to color grade footage in resolve. I also want to preserve all the clips to edit further down the road. Is there a difference in quicktime same as source vs MXF op1a? Thank you for all your help :-)

What do you need to do with the media outside of Media Composer? The content is already 5:1 compressed as DV so it makes sense to keep it as DV. You can export as an MXF op1a and select DV

It nolonger exists as your Apple OS can't run quicktime any longer. The new MC has MOV at the bottom of the export list and from here you can select DNxHD LB for DNx36 Its actually very fast.

Thanks for all your input guys! Good to hear that Avid can handle those displays without significant problems. I really like the design of a 49" ultrawide, but I find vertical resolution a little bit on the low side on the Dell, LG, Philips and Samsung. And what bothers me with two 27" 4K Dell displays, is the edges in the middle of the two...
