Avid and The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus Bring Media Composer, Pro Tools and Sibelius to Washington State Students and Teachers

During the week of August 22nd, Avid and The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus made three stops in the State of Washington to visit schools and education officials, train students and teachers and make an amazing music video.

The week started in Toppenish, WA, where hundreds of Toppenish High School students toured The Bus as they were coming back for the new school year.  Dozens of faculty and students participated in hands-on training in Avid Pro Tools and Sibelius that day.

The Bus then moved on to Vancouver School of Arts and Academics where dozens more teachers and students received Media Composer, Sibelius and Pro Tools training.  An amazing group of high school music and video students wrote and recorded a song, as well as created a music video, entirely on the bus.

The week closed at Educational Service District 113 in Olympia, the State Capitol, where tours and training happened all day long. Several state a local education officials joined The Bus and visited Avid training sessions that day, including State Deputy Education Superintendent Alan Burke,  ESD 113 Superintendent Bill Keim, and Southside School District Superintendent Karl Ostheller. Check out the video below of Avid's Lee Whitmore talking about one of the most important aspects of music education - fun!

Thanks so much to everyone who came out joined Avid on the Lennon Bus on this leg of their tour and thanks for sharing your energy, enthusiasm, and creativity!
