Avid at IBC 2011: Helping Customers Achieve Whatever They Imagine

Just a few days from now Avid will be exhibiting at IBC 2011--September 9-13, in Hall 7 at stand J20--offering an exciting range of solutions and presentations that will showcase how we’re helping customers achieve whatever they imagine with open, industry-leading workflow solutions that feature innovations in media asset management, storage, graphics, news production, video editing and audio technology.

 

Just a few of the highlights on tap for the show include:

  • - The newest developments in Avid's graphics solutions, providing broadcasters with brand-enhancing, cost-saving, powerful graphics workflows for stellar on-air graphics production.

 

- Avid's vision of the Integrated Media Enterprise in action—featuring Avid Interplay® Central, Avid Interplay Production, and Interplay MAM solutions—providing broadcasters, post production houses, content owners, and creators with the ease, flexibility, and reliability they need to maximize the value of their media assets.

 

- Debut of Avid ISIS® 7000 v2.4, expanding the industry’s reference standard real-time shared storage system.

 

- Key value-add enhancements to NewsVision, the entry-level HD news solution that gives local and regional broadcasters the ability to achieve greater speed and efficiency with file-based news production.

 

In addition, we’ll be offering a daily lineup of demonstrations and presentations by some of the most talented content creators in the industry, including:

 

- Main stage demonstrations of a wide array of industry-leading asset management, storage, video and audio solutions that enable post and broadcast customers make the most of their media through open, collaborative and productive workflows

 

- A robust line-up of customer presentations, including:

 

o Eddie Hamilton — Film Editor (The Loft, X-Men: First Class, and co-editor of Kick-Ass). A 15 year industry veteran, Eddie has cut over 20 feature films in a wide variety of genres as well as TV dramas, documentaries and award-winning shorts.

o Wojtek Slots — Independent Film Editor (The Chaplain, Political Dress, Beats of Freedom). Studying at the Polish National Film, Television, and Theatre school prepared Wojetk for writing and editing such shows as Beats of Freedom, featured at the 2011 SXSW in Austin Texas.

o Phil Thomas — Internal Consultant, Reuters. Beginning his career in Visnews (now Reuters) maintenance department, Phil became a project manager who introduced non-linear workflows to the organization's newsroom and now serves as an internal consultant on TV technology and workflow matters.
