    Sony Z1 capture issue

THis is a noob quesition for sure.

I am attempting to capture from a Sony Z1 camera via Firewire. The video is 1080i form HDV.

I keep getting the error that says "Exception: Audio / Video id unexpectedly no longer coming into the system."

I'm on Mac OS 10.7.3, Software version of MC 6.0.1, Macbook Pro, 17".

Any idea as to why I cannot capture?

Also, it only gives me the option to capture at HDV1080i MXF or DVCpro HD MXF. Is this normal? I thought I should have more options, such as DNxHD 120, etc.

I did bring the footage in after I changed the format to 25p. I can write to Firewire 800 or Thunderbolt Raid. However, the 1080i project settings are not working, and I am in the dark on this one.

I am hoping to avoid taking this to FCP, as apparently this was a common work flow (this is what the camera guy says).

Any pointers would be appreciated :)

    Re: Sony Z1 capture issue

Solution: I was told that it was in several possible formats, finally figured out which one it was by talking to camera assistant.

    Back at it!
