Avid Media Composer 6.0.1 and TESLA

    Hello, Community! :)

I am wondering if Avid Media Composer knows how to utilize a PC which is NVIDIA TESLA M2090 powered?
Is the investment going to be worth it?

    Thank You!

No, I think it will be overkill.

What I have is not being fully utilized.

It will be best for 3D App's and scientific work etc.

Avid does not even fully utilize Nvidia's latest drivers.

But I am sure there will be a slight efficiency advantage.

If you have the money why not, experiment and let us know!

For my purposes, a Quadro 4000 is overkill for MC. Co-installed CUDA optimized 3D rendering and video compression programs may be a different story if they're current bottlenecks for you.

Empirical data will provide the most accurate answer.
