    MC & Blackmagic Hardware

I'm in the process of building an MC/Resolve system and want to ask a few basic questions.

    1.  Will MC see the Blackmagic hardware the same way it sees Avid hardware (i.e. Mojo)?

    2.  On certain Blackmagic products like the Decklink SDI where video & audio go out of the same SDI port, how would one monitor audio?

    3.  What are some known issues that I can expect?

    Thanks.

Yes MC 6 see's the Black Magic Card similarly to a Mojo - one annoying feature is there is no way to turn off the hardware so you can't do a full screen replay on PC monitor!

Audio monitoring on a Decklink Card you can use the Analogue outputs or use HDMI TV or get a black magic SDI - analogue converter

No real issues product "Decklink" is quite stable I have 7 installed

^^ A good edit takes time but who has the time? When I look back I see my mistakes!

Using BMD Multibridge Eclipse and all is hunky dorie or there abouts at the moment!

    No Mastering though.

Monitoring to HDMI Lcd monitor plus Sony CRT BVM. No audio issues to Sony deck.

Good idea to read the spec's re Mojo. Mojo is Mojo.

Look at new options available today. They will vary.

    BMD

    aja

    Matrox

    BlueFish etc etc

    MOTO firewire like old MOJO.

    All different.

    Over and out.

You should avoid Intensity Pro and Shuffle products. Many have reported having issues with them.

Media Composer 2018.5 (Symphony Option), ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, Intel i7 2600k, 16G DDR3-1600, PNY NVIDIA Quadro 2000 (353.82), Windows 10 Pro. Boris Red 5... [view my complete system specs]
