MC 7 / Mac - Duplicating sequence bug

Is anyone else seeing the behaviour when trying to duplicate a sequence either through the contextual menu or keyboard command that you get an error screen. You can continue without crashing MOST times but often an application or system restart is required to fix the issue SOMETIMES. It doesn't always fix it and never allows a duplication even if copying to a new sequence or original sequence to new bin. I have never had this error before v7. wondering if bugs are coming out of the woodwork.

Using AVID mc7 on 12 core Mac Pro w 24g ram.

    Thanks

    Interesting..

Can you elaborate a bit on the environment (if you don't mind)

OSX version? sequence created in old version? or brandnew sequence created in v7? Frame rate and resolution?

    Sorry yes...

Typically sequences created in older versions as we are on a tv series. Sequences are brought from either v5.0.3 or 6.0.3 to v7.Although I have tried cutting the sequence into a new sequence made in v7 but with same result.

    OS X 10.8.4,

    Projects are 1920x1080 , 23.976, dnxhd 36, mxf

bummer.. see if this will give you a different result.

Export the old sequence as AAF (LINKED) then import it back.

When you export, make sure you don't load the sequence. Just select the sequence on the bin by itself then export it as AAF ( also, check the "Enable Edit Protocol" ).

I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion. Might go back to 6.5 and wait for the v7 patch update.
