Upgrading to MC7 - Need for deactivation of previous MC/Symphony?

    Hi everyone,

I've got a very simple question I could not find the answer to:

I've got an MC 7 upgrade from Symphony Pre 6.5 Activation ID.

On my PC I've got Symphony 6.

When I want to upgrade to MC 7, do I have to deactivate my Symphony 6 or not? Reading the installation guide it seems there is no need for deactivation but for me this sounds not logical... Guess this can be answered in one sentence :)

    Many thanks!

If it's on the same system, it MIGHT not be "needed" per sé, but just deactivate.  It takes literally 5 seconds to do, and it takes literally 5 seconds to activate anew once you install.  It's always, always a good idea to deactivate when you're updating or changing versions.  It's just so easy to do, there's not really any reason not to - and it can save you from many problems if something goes wrong.
