    Faster Render on Mac Pro

Performance-wise, I am quite happy running MC 7 on a 3,1 Mac Pro.

I am editing feature films on it, and the only downside is the lenghty export of those when we need

    to do screenings.

i am using an ATI 5770 card, and wondering if the export speed would be affected if upgrading

to a newer card like the Nvidia GTX 780.

Currently only using 8GB of Ram. Would a Ram upgrade benifit export speed?

Videocard won't help, and more RAM will likely only help on a minimal level.

Conclusion:  render times are here to stay, for now.

Faster drives will make the difference, more than RAM or gfx card.

I keep my video mediafiles on one drive (eSata RAID drive), the sound ones on another drive (second internal drive), and when we export for screenings, I do it to a third drive.
