Avid 7 - multigroup error - no timecode found- HELP!

    Hi.

I'm trying to multigroup some subclips by Aux TC and I always get that error "No time code found for clip Exception:CM_LABEL_NOT_FOUND, tt:3. inum:3"

    All subclips have Aux TC.

The group clips option works, but then I would have to do each subclips pair (A and B cam) one by one....a lot of subclips, not cool.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Thank you Smile

XAVC footage right? If you notice, the audio and video timecode for each clip don't match. Give the clips a tape name and that will fix the error.

Hi, not XAVC, RED media, converted to mxf in Resolve.

everything seems fine as I can group clips one by one, but not multigroup :/

    Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the info! I was running into the same issue with external audio. Adding a tape name to the audio clips fixed the multigroup error for me (MC 8.5.3). I selected all the audio clips in the bin > right clicked > modify > modify clip > Set Source > type in tape name > OK > OK.

I then had to re-do the portion of the multigroup subclips with the audio that had the tape name changed. After that it was good to go!
