    Audio EQ preset advice sought

I hate using the Audio EQ tool in Avid...not because there's anything wrong with it, but because I can never seem to get the result I want. Right now I'm trying to sweeten the audio on an interview where the contributor has a very deep, booming voice. The voice sounds "thick" and resonant and I'm trying to take away this resonance away and give the voice an "edge."

This is a very common situation. Can anyone recommend a setting in the EQ tool which will come close to achieving what I need?

Although I rarely EQ in the Avid, I assume others will answer the same way...that the EQ Tool is not wheat you want to use for serious equalization.

You'd have to look into an AudioSuite or RTAS EQ plugin that would do a much better job.  There are several included in MC.
