NewBlue Titler Pro render problems in MC8.3

When trying to render a NewBlue title in a 4k project to play it back, it disappears. I'm sure it's something simple but I'm not seeing it (pun intended). Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Titler Pro. Just to make sure I understand, you've added the Titler Pro effect to your project and created a title, and that part is working, right? But, when you render the Titler effect on your Media Composer timeline, the title isn't visible anymore?

Also, do you know if you're using Titler Pro 1 or Titler Pro 2?

Hey Marcus, thanks for your reply. Yes, creating the title works fine but you can only see it non-rendered when the timeline is in draft or half resolution. Switching to to full or 10bit or if rendered, it disappears. It's version 1.0. I recently upgraded to MC v8.3 from 5.01. Video card is a Quadro 3800. Of the 2 driviers that MC8.3 requires 333.11 is the only one that worked with the 3800. Could that be the problem?

    Sorry for the slow response.

Can you tell me exactly what type of 4K project you're using - the specific resolution and frame rate?

Also, if you can let me know which build of Titler Pro 1.0 you're using that would be helpful as well. You can find that by opening Titler Pro and clicking on Help - About NewBlue Titler Pro.

JC sometimes when using the NewBlue titler, you make a change in the middle of the timeline.

When you add or create a title in NewBlue, make sure, in the NewBlue interface's timeline, that the BARS at the bottom are connecting the entire duration of the timeline.

MEANING:  If you drop a NewBlue Titler 2.0 on 5 seconds of filler, but enter the Titler 2 seconds into the NewBlue timeline, it will add a Title starting after 2 seconds.  You just have to slide the bars around at the bottom of the NewBlue interface to make the titles appear.

I use this Titler too. Because there is no alternative available in 4K... But I have spent many and many hours of frustration. IMO this app does not last what it promises. It is not suitable for a fast title and for more complex tasks it doesn't has the proper functions. - No layout tools: help lines or snap in functions ... - many many bugs (as you can see in the community) - no realtime playback - and many more
Too bad that Avid not developed further the good old Titler

I think you'll find that NB is developing Titler Pro - For example, TP 3 now has realtime playback in MC. I haven't looked at TP 4 (if it's out yet) but it will likely have further improvements). Is it perfect? No, but NB seems to be invested in supporting MC.

TP 4 is out. More improvements including alignment tools and title caching for improved realtime performance. Check it out if you're interested.

    Hi Steve,

I just got the v4 upgrade, and have not had time to fully evaluate, what I have seen so far has been encouraging.

If you happen to be lucky enough to have the Sapphire OFX plugin installed , they can be used directly inside the new TP4 titler, both the Standalone version and the plugin .
