    Parsing msmMMOB.mob

    Hi,

I have an ISIS mounted on Centos, over 1GbE.

Are there any utilities to parse / dump / export the msmMMOB.mob.

Primarily I want to relate the AvidUID to the filename without having to parse all the video files to aid our workflow.

I can't find any perl /python / c scripts to export the database - is this not a done thing ?

    Thanks

    Haloric.

MDV_AVID and MediaMover does the opposite of what you’re looking for, it will index the media in a specific folder.

Is this what you're looking to do?

No.. literally able to read and write pmr and mdb files (outside the media composer software).

Update. Since the bin file is a binary file, i was able to use a unix command "strings"  to print any printable strings from a binary or object.

    #Description
strings - find the printable strings in a object, or other binary, file

Basically the output tells you the files that are stored on the directory where the PMR is located and partner mdb tells you the metadata about each file ie (import path etc).
