MC 8.5.3 overwriting AMA link to some clips when opening second camera

    Hi all,

We're running MC 8.5.3 with Canon's latest XF AMA Plugin 3.1. We're working with footage from three of the Canon C300 Mark II's. All footage is 1080p at 23.98.

Basically, we AMA Link to A camera, all the clips show up in a bin as one would expect. B camera work's fine as well, but when we AMA Link to C Camera, some of the A Camera clips are changed to the C camera clips. By this I mean the following:

The metadata for A camera remains in the bin window, except that the source path is now that of one of the C Camera clips, and when you go to play the file, it plays the file from C Camera that it's displaying the source path of.

It does not matter what order we AMA link in, C Camera first or A Camera first. This also affects us if we import the cameras to different bins, even when the first camera ama link bin is closed, the clips are still being replaced.

    Has anyone seen this before?

    Thanks!

    Hello dklein,

May not be totally helpful but can you check if files from Camera C is the same file name in Camera A.

    Hi Ralph,

Nope. The file names and folder structure are specific to each camera.

EDIT: One thing we have noticed is that it's only affecting a few clips (though it's happening across multiple days of shooting). Our AEs discovered that the affected clips look to have been shot in 60p orignally but the Canon XF Utility and Avid are interrpreting the footage as 23.98.

    Thanks

    Derek
