After Effects CC 2017 Avid DNxHR/DNxHD Codec Problem

Does anybody have a workaround for the DNxHR/DNxHD codec subsitution in Adobe After Effects 2017? Not only did they severely limit the options in the new substituted codec they also removed the ability to select 709/RGB and the ability to have Trillions of colors (now limited to Millions of colors). Its caused me to keep my entire studio on CC 2015 as well as my clients offices as well. I wish Adobe would just enable the old codec so that you could use that as an alternative because their new feature is broken.. I hope somebody feels the tears of Avid editors everywhere [:'(]

Re: After Effects CC 2017 Avid DNxHR/DNxHD Codec Problem

There's a very detailed description of Adobe's new native Avid codecs, and the problems it's causing MC users in this article from Provideocoalition.

Seems to be no workaround at present except to keep your older version of AE and Media Encoder installed when you upgrade.
