    I have this problem too (App Mgr 17.5.0 showing MC 8.8.1 with 'Open' instead of 'Update')

    I tried deleting the folders as above but to no avail.

     

    System Specs:

    macOS Sierra 10.12.5

    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)

    3.1 GHz Intel Core i5

    12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

    Incidentally, deleting the folders has de-activated my MC! I am not amused!!

    I also have this problem.

    Tried the suggested closing of apps and file deletions.  Same app manager screen as Phil posted.

    I have the same problem on five of my systems. Four are running OSX 10.12.5, the other is 10.12.3. All running AppMan ver 17.5.0, all showing MC 8.8.4 with no update available.

    i have the same problem. 8.8.4 install cannot sdownload newer version. have tried all sessions on thread.

    app man 17.5

    os 10.12.6

    Hi all,

    I want to report having the same issue (just posted about this as a new message).

    I have deleted all AppMan cache files, as suggested. Have tried re-synching acct. Done all that is suggested on this thread, but still do not see the 8.8.5 patch as a download. 

    I am running OS 10.12.5 (Sierra) - and Application Manager 17.5.0.

    But in fact, I am seeing the problem on multiple stations with different OSX versions, however, they are all on AppMan 17.5.0. Could this AppMan version be the cause of our problems?

    No it's not the appman version, in fact 17.5 is the latest for MC|Full version. Can you try the steps to reset AppMan.

     

    1. Quit Application Manager from its menu-bar icon at the top of the screen. 

               

              a. Go to MacHD > Applications >Utilites > and open 'Activity Monitor'. 

              b. In the activity monitor interface, select the Process Name ‘AvidAppManHelper’ from the column on the left-hand side, Then click the ‘X’ button at the top left to quit the process. 

    You should no longer have any ‘Avid Application Manager’ related processes in the ‘Process Name’ column of Activity Monitor. 

    2. Delete the following folders:

               HD/Library/Caches/Avid/AppManager/Cache

               HD/Library/Caches/Avid/AppManager/Db

               HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Licenses

    3. Now once again go to Go to MacHD > Applications > Avid > Application Manager, but this time, double-click on the ‘AvidAppManHelper.app’ file and wait for it to appear in Activity Monitor’s Process list to ensure it’s started.

    I'm having the same issue as everyone else. I tried RalphC's steps for resetting app man library. Could there be an issue if there is more than one user account on the computer? I'm quitting my version of AvidAppManHelper but there is still one open for the other user.

    App manager says 17.5.0 and MC shows 8.8.3 and the "Open" link on the right.

    I created a support case 03254643, in the meantime download the latest 8.8.5 from your Avid master account.

      I'm not sure if you already tried this, select Preferences tab then click "Clear Cache files" AppMan shoud sync the account report back.

     Update: do a sync also, click the arrow down beside the emaill address then hit "Sync Account" this should sync the account to look for new update.
