I also have this exact problem on a W10 machine. Did anybody ever come up with a fix?
Hi piersmwf,
Kindly complete your profile include machine specs. Are you publishing to local drive or Social? Currently MC|First has a know limitation when publishing directly to FB.
Bug Number: MCDEV-7725. Disregard references in the help for publishing directly to FaceBook. This will be provided in a future release. You can publish your sequence to a local drive to use when posting your video to FaceBook.
Thanks,
RalphC
Thanks, Ralph. I've completed the profile, but my machine specs are:
Windows 10 HomeIntel Core i7 5500U CPUat 2.40 GHz, 240 MHz, 2 cores, 4 logical processors8Gb RAM DDR31,000 Gb HDD
I'm trying to publish to a local drive, but I did also try publishing to Vimeo to see whether that made any difference. It didn't.
I can try to post up the error messages I get, if that would help.
Thanks, Piers
Please do, but I'm concern with the Windows version Home Edition is not qualified and also dual core i7 might not have enough power to run MC.
Thanks, RalphC
Not sure if this will work, as I'm having trouble working out how to insert an image into this post, but here goes:
Attempting to Publish throws up this error message:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptlq3018ov5nmmd/Publish%20error.docx?dl=0
Clicking "continue" gets me this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vaxb5z3plu95hpd/Continue%20error.docx?dl=0
Clicking "Debugger" gets me this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/f680pcq17flixvw/Debugger.docx?dl=0
and clicking "ignore" immediately closes the programme.
Sorry, that evidently didn't work. Is there a standard technique for getting the screenshot from my computer into a forum post?
To upload image select the "option" tab, file attachment. Regarding the error message (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptlq3018ov5nmmd/Publish%20error.docx?dl=0) looks like you're saving the file directly to dropbox? Can you change the destination folder to C: preferably your desktop.
I'm sorry if I'm being stupid, but the only "options" tab that I can see is the one between "compose" and "related", and if I click on that I just get a tickbox for "do not allow replies" and a row of emojis which can be included - no way of attaching a file that I can see,
I haven't been trying to save MC files to Dropbox - that was just my attempt to save my screenshot to a place that would allow me to create a url which I could then post, using the "insert/edit image" button at the top of the compose box. In MC, I've been trying to Publish to the C: drive.
Let me take you step by step.
1. Click Reply to post a comment.
2. select "Insert Media" icon before the smiley emoticon
3. Click Browse on the pop up Window then "Upload File" look the file/sreenshots then click upload file.
4. Then select the content (double click the file) you wish to add to the post.
Thanks.
When I try to publish I get this:
Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0cm; mso-para-margin-right:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:8.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0cm; line-height:107%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language:EN-US;}
Clicking “Continue” gets me this:
Click "Debugger" gets me this:
Clicking "Ignore" immediately closes the programme.
The destination folder is C drive?
Not specified. I go "File - Publish to" and am offered Vimeo, YouTube, etc and "Local Drive". I select "Local Drive" and then the error messages above kick off immediately, before I get to the point of specifying a destination.
Can we try a new short project.
