    Partial sound in transcoded clips

Several of the transcoded clips, have partial audio.

The clip's video and audio start OK, in Avid,  then suddenly there is no more audio.

Using Canon VIXIA HF G30, camera files are .MTS

I have used the very same Avid program on the very same computer for years.  The OS is Windows 7 Professional.

Can the transcoding file start acting up, because it is corrupted?

As explained on an earlier post, some of the clips, simply refuse to be transcoded.

Is there anything better than transcoding with Avid?

    Thanks for info

    Bert
