Please provide an option for MC owners to co-install MC | First

The following is posted after a request  from an Audio Post Production friend who owns and uses the full version of MC 2018.3

"A plea to the Video team to change the way Media Composer | First is installed/registered so that we don't have to uninstall full MC.

I want to do some MC First tuts, but it's a huge pain to uninstall and deactivate MC 2018, and then re-install every time."

FWIW I agree 100% with this suggestion.

I would agree if only MC First, and ProTools First too, were not such a disappointment.

Do we know if the code is exactly the same for regualr and MC First? And will it stay the same moving forwards?

If not they can't coexists as they are different versions of the same software. If the code is identical and its just a licensing control option then it should be relatively simple to toggle versions. But as First and regualr projects aren't compatible it would get very messy...

    Thanks Marianna! much appreciated.

IMO this is inaccurate and not really IMO opinion relevant to a request to be able to have both simultaneously installed on the same machine.

It was NOT a request to have both open at the same time to "toggle versions".   Shut one, open the other. The way we currently use MC and PT's despite them both using differing versions of the same drivers/dll's etc. Both the handling each others different media structures.
