    didreader xraiseunexpectedstreamstatus async timeout error

    Hello Avid Users,

New to the Forum, new to Avid softare, I am working and very happy to be working on two things at once: a film shot in DV SD and mastery of Avid software.  I am receiving this error when I try to play my talking head timelines back:

    didreader xraiseunexpectedstreamstatus async timeout error

At first everything was fine; I had no issues.  and was almost done creating all of my interview string outs when I suddenly started getting that error.  My interactions beyond laying talking head sound (with picture) were minimal.

Using a Sony DVCAM DSR-45 deck, the footage was captured to an application called Lifeflix. The resulting archive, 36 QuickTime files, was placed on a 5TB Rugged Thunderbolt USB – C 130MB/S.  They have the following CODECS and specifications:

    a.     Dimensions: 720X480

    b.    Codecs: DV/DVCPRO – NTSC, LINEAR PCM

    c.     Color Profile: SD (6-1-6)

    d.    Audio Channels: 2

    Subscription Software:

    a.    Symphony option

    b.    8.9.3

    5.     The Editing Computer: A Macintosh laptop

    a.     OS: Mac OS Sierra, Version 10.12.5

    b.    Processor: 2.3 GZ Intel Core i7

    c.     Memory 8GB (or, is this the problem? I am currently trying to repair the screen of a mac laptop with 16GB)

    d.    Startup Disk: 250 GB, Used: 185 GB, Available: 65GB

The QuickTimes were converted into Avid Media Files, MXF at 2:1 (NTSC) with two track stereo audio at 48

2 things that can cause this error

There is anti-virus software running on your system.  Disable/uninstall the anti-virus software and the error should go away when playing back.

This can also be caused by corrupt files or render files.  In this case you will want to find the part of the sequence that causes this error and rerender the effects.   Play parts of the timeline until you get to where it fails and then replace.

    Hi Marianna.

I am haunted by this since ... too long.

Uninstalled Norton, no other virus protection at all. No corrupt media (did the "divide and exclude" a lot of times, no result, error on playback of all master clips)

    1920 x 1080, H.264, Linear PCM, imported as DNxHD 36 (HD1080p).

MC 8.4.9 on MacBook Pro Retina mid 2012, i7 2,3 ghz, 8 gb RAM,

    p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #000000}

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

    Any ideas?

    Best regards,
