    Source/Record windows display wrong color

I just installed the latest release of Media Composer (2018.5) on a fresh install of Windows 10 pro on a new system. I created a fresh user profile.

I was shocked to see that once I AMA linked some footage, the color of the video in the source/record windows was incorrect, looked almost inverted.

I checked the Source Settings of the clip and oddly enough the preview window there shows the correct colors for the clip.

The source and record windows are are set for Rec.709 full range, but any setting I choose from the display color space window doesn't have an impact on the colors.

The project is set for the default YCbCr 709 color space.

I can't find any other setting I would think would change this.

I also have Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Davinci Resolve installed and they all show the correct colors for these clips.

It is a known problem with 2018.5 and some GeForce cards that is being worked on.  For me the best solution was to revert to 2018.4, (same video card as you)
There is a fix that works for some. In MC's Video display settings disable the Dual Copy Engine option.  This also worked for me but a couple of others had issues with it.
Hopefully the next update will fix this.

A fix is in the works... the rub is that those cards were Not approved even though many of you got them to work.  Now we need to deliver a fix to make everyone happy.

I have the same issue.  I disabled the "Dual Copy Engine" option and it did fix it for me.

Anyone know what that setting does?

    Fropdaddy

Dual Copy Engine - is a new Video Display Setting option, Dual Copy Engine, which enables loading data to GPU from multiple threads.   Most with the issue with this color change come up on systems with non suported video cards.  While we did expand what cards could sneak under the radar with this new option setting, now we need to fix this.

Expected to fix in 2018.6 I think
