2018.7 poss bug on submaster effect

Can someone else thats installed 2018.7 do a quick test for me.
Put two clips into a collapsed layers/submaster effect. Drop an effect on that submaster like flop/resize etc. Then try and remove that effect.

For me it deletes that entire submaster and contents within it.

I swear that never happened before.

    EDIT:

If I ALT drag an effect onto it, I can remove fine.
Just normal drag/drop effect it deletes.

    So maybe not a bug?

Re: 2018.7 poss bug on submaster effect

Drag and drop (without ALT) will replace the effect, not nest it... I guess when you drop a flop/resize/etc. effect on a submaster effect it replaces the submaster with the dropped effect. Then you you only one effect, not a nested pair.

Some effects cannot be simply dropped to replace the submaster. For example, if you try to drop a BCC effect (without holding the ALT) MC will warn you that the effect does not apply (BCC cannot perform the role of a submaster).

It's interesting that I never really noticed this behavior but if, in your example, you step into the 'resize' that you dropped on the submaster, you will notice that the 'resize' has replaced the submaster and that there are only the pair of clips under the 'resize' effect. The submaster is gone.

I swear on a submaster I've always just drag/dropped and removed ok.

On single clips where I stack the effects, then yeah ALT drag and stack em up!

Most probably doing ALT drag by default without realising, just today drag/drop!

I don't use that workflow very often so it's entirely possible that something changed. I would trust your muscle memory over my tests with this version.
