    Picture playback issues

I posted this in the wrong forum so this is a report....

MC 2018.9.0, Mac Pro late 2013, 12 gigs ram, highsierra

I created picture dailies from resolve and synced them with imported audio and the picture does not play back.

Playback is fine from the same Master clips w/o syncing to audio. Audio clips play fine alone too. TC for both is 23.98.

I'm hoping this is an easy one......

    More info please...

Is the video mxf or linked?

    What codec?

How is it synced - by timecode, by in point, by waveform?

Do you get an error message?

video is MXF media created by Resolve (DNxHD 115 (HD1080p))

    Audio is imported PCM (MXF)

    Synced by timecode

    no error messages

    Re: Picture playback issues

I had hoped it was an easy fix and it was - once resolve finshed the two day render I restarted and they all play now.

    FIXED

The only hardware attached is an HDMI monitor.

    Re: Picture playback issues

Glad it fixed itself - but worrying that no explanation is apparent. Do you want to leave it there, or would you like to post an example for me to take a look at and see if I can shed some light on the mystery?

    Re: Picture playback issues

I thought the same. I’ll recreate the scenario and report back. It would be good to know the cause.

Reply with any other relevant info you think I should post and I’ll investigate  thanks!
