SubCap tool support for .srt export

Oddly, Media Composer is still missing support for this subtitle format. It'll be great to see it supported soon.

Meantime, can anyone recommend a .stl. to .srt conversion website or tool that doesn't mangle the timecode?

(Exported .stl from Avid shows the correct timecode for subs but when converted online to .srt timecodes are shifting - this happened with three different free online coversion services)

.srt is a time based subtitle format, stl is a frame based subtitle format, hence it’s way more precise.

I usually use annotation edit for this kind of convertion but it’s not cheap. TEP also works. There are a lot good free alternatives on the PC side.

Take a look at this link:

I just recently discovered this site:

If you export the Avid DS .txt file, you can convert to .srt

    Seems to work.
