    'total device count exceeded'

    Hi everyone

I've searched high and low for an answer to this question, and I'm hoping someone here can help me: Recently, I purchased a new computer and transferred the drives from my old device into the new one, including one that had Avid Media Composer on it. My tech guy said I'd have to reinstall it, and I did, but when I entered my system ID and activation code, I got the following message:

'avid media composer 101 activation failed total device count exceeded'

Now, this is my third computer since buying media composer in 2014, so I can understand how there's a limit as to how many machines I could install my copy on. However, I can't find any articles or help on how to fix this. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hi Marianna

I feel so dumb for asking this, but how do I send a private message? I've never sent one on this forum before.

    Thank you.

    Hi Marianna

I see a few options present, but I'm afraid sending you a message isn't one of them. I used the 'starta  conversation' instead.

    Thanks

can I get in on this? I've changed computers multiple times lately and got this message today when setting up Avid on my new one. Who should I contact?
