Problems getting dsr 1500A deck control on Adrenaline 2.1.8

    Hey All,

    Working on an Adrenaline 2.1.8

I had a heck of time getting my Sony DSR 1500A deck to link through firewire in 1394 mode yesterday. I tried all the suggestions on the forum such as...

    1)Boot up order
2)Tried connecting through 4pin on back of Adrenaline
    3)Used Pyro card in xw8000
4)Deleting deck config and create new setting to the appropriate deck
5)Turned off all the conflicting settings.

I ended up having to connect it to an Adrenaline 1.6.7 in the 4pin connection in another other room which immediately recognized it. Of course this was hours and hours later. I would like to know if  anyone has any suggestions on how to get it to work when switching between DNA mode and 1394 on Adrenaline 2.1.8?

No ideas on the Firewire problem, but why not connect via Driect Serial Control ... much more robust and reliable.

we don't have the analog input card to do a direct serial connection. We only have a firewire output option on the deck currently.
