    Preventing banding in MCA

I just picked this up >> (see "Banding artifacts" in Tips and Tricks if the link does not work)

It only seems to apply to DS Nitris systems.  Are there simmular settings in MCA?  I use After Effects and Photoshop a lot and occasionally I do get banding in some gradients.  I usually render my AE comps with either Animation (graphics or titles alone) or Merdien Uncompressed codec (video) and import into MCA with RBG dithering selected in the import settings. Are there any other settings worth checking?

RBG dithering import setting is the right choice for gradients.

AFAIK, this is the only setting in MCA.

The real solution to avoid banding is to set your Media Type  to MXF and import graphics as 1:1 10b(its)
Xpress Pro, Xpress DV, Adrenaline, Nitris DX, Media Composer, Unity, Interplay etc [view my complete system specs]

If it ain't broken you can still probably fix it
