    Artifact appears on Render

Every now and then I get artifacts in my video towards the beginning or ending of an edit.  It sometimes happens after a render.  I have attached a screen shot.  Is this an improper media setting or just an Avid software glitch?

    Thank you!

Is this on the Mpeg4 (H264) export and is it always on a fade in/out?

    Re: Artifact appears on Render

If it disappears if you clear the render or you do matchframe, then it's a software glitch.

Disabling gpu acceleration and possibly dual copy engine was a fix for some at some point.

I had glitches once that looked very different from yours that only cleared with a reinstall.

Possibly i also had to pull the a fresh OS from a backup image.

Thanks, I cleared the renders and that worked.  I initially matched framed back and it wasn't on the source so I knew it had something with how Avid was rendering or playing back the footage.

    thank you!
