    Multi-screen grid editing

Hi, other than the incredible painful process of using PIP techniques, are there any plugins available to achieve this kind of editing where you can have a constantly changing grid of multiple video streams in Avid?

    Re: Multi-screen grid editing

I can only think of small tricks to help.  In the end it is just work.

The one thing I would do that would help a bunch is make a set of white on black screens defining the lay outs I want.  Then I would use those as mattes for each picture.  This allows for the black spaces to be consistent and for you to more easily adjust the framing of each image inside the matte.  I forget which of the Avid key tools you would use for this, but I know it exists.

    Hope that makes sense.

If you have Boris Red, you could use that. Note that Red is no longer available for sale, so this would have to come from an older version of MC. Newblue Titler may also be able to do what you want.
