    Audio correllation gets crazy

While editing a tv show avid symphony nitris produced following strange effect:

Working on stereomix mode with stereo and double-mono footage. All tracks panned left/right. After a real stereo clip on track 3/4 following a double mono clip on 1/2. Correlation behave correct. First corr. display shows 2D grafic then turning to one dimension (vertical line).

After adding an audio dissolve to second clip, correlation display turns to 2dimensional grafic and correlation value next to 0. Switching external audio monitor to mono reveals real corr. problem.

Tryed copy Audio track one to track 2 and vv, no change (strange!) recatured clip no change, cut the clip: Audio is fine behind cut. extended to original start: problem back. leave one frame of old clip in, after cut fine. delete one frame, problem back. Made audio mixdown to other tracks: new clips seemed fine. replace old clips by mixdown, still fine. Adding disolve or pitch volume, problem back. Leaving mixdown clips on dif. tracks and add dissolve works after all. Projekt is finished now, but what the hack was happening there?

    Anybody any idea?

    Thanx, Michael
