Does this notebook runs Avid Media Composer 3?

    Hello everybody,

I'm searching for a notebook that I can afford and also runs Avid. I found this one. What do you think? Can it handle this? Even if it runs slower...?

    Dell Inspiron 15

    Intel® Core™2 Duo P8600 (2.4 GHz, 3 MB L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB)

    3GB DDR2 800MHz

    HD - SATA de 320GB (5400RPM)

Video - Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD

I know that this isn't nvidia geforce, but I run Avid just fine in my desktop computer with an ATI Radeon 4800.

    Thanks!

    Look mine.

It runs 3.1.3 fine even HDV with an external e-SATA.

But I am not sure about Intel VGA.

And what about GeForce 9300M GC, replacing the other graphic card?

And maybe I am demanding too much, but I need to edit Full HD videos through external USB hard drives. Is that possible with this configuration? Even if it demands some patience.

9300 is a weak card for me.

And about full HD (this is 1920x1080) with USB can't be done.

Even HDV crawls. The trick is not only e-SATA but a fast e-SATA disk.

But I do edit full Hd (1920x1080, recorded with Sony EX1) just fine through USB 2.0.

I also edit sometimes with my boss` notebook, a Core 2 Duo T7300 (2Ghz), 3 GB RAM, GeForce 8700M GT. With no problems.

But I can't find an affordable notebook with a nice video card like this one.

So: if I can edit with the configuration listed before, could I edit with a T6670 (2.2 Ghz), 4 GB RAm and GeForce 9300M GS? Is that possible?

(and yes, I changed the processor since the start of the topic - trying to make things cheaper)

I really don't know anything about the Intel GPU, but i've been working on a 1080i50 project with several USB and eSATA drives! Seamless playback, editing and trimming!
