Does anyone know how to install Avid Xpress Pro on Windows 7?

I tried but got a msg saying OS not supported.

    Re: Windows 7

Xpress Pro is EOL for some time now and W7 is stlll not yet supported for MC4 . I'm not sure that Xpress Pro was even supported on Vista.

You need either to upgrade to MC 4 (or wait for MC5... later today??) and run on W7, which will become supported in time or install Windows XP to run Xpress Pro.

Yes you can install it but u have to install via Windows Xp Mode and u have to install it by EACH EXE after changing things to XP Mode in the properties otherwise it wont install. and it has to be under service pack 2 mode. SP3 wont allow

No, by your own admission in that thread it apparently shows you running a cracked version of Xpress Pro on Windows 7.  That information is relevant to the OP, since there's no guarantee that whatever was done to allow people to steal that version of Avid's software will not have also changed its characteristics in some way.

Like Neil, I would ignore your advice.

    Re: Windows 7

You're truely ignorant and need to learn how to read.

I AM NOT RUNNING A CRACK VERSION OF Xpress PRO 5.7.2 I HAVE THE DONGLE FOR THAT!

I am running a CRACKED VERSION OF XPRESS DV 3.5 BECAUSE I LOST THE DONGLE KEY FOR IT!

LMFAO DOING A BASIC PROPERTY CHANGE IN THE WAY WINDOWS BOOTS AVID, DOESNT GIVE YOU AVID FOR FREE. Why are people so close minded.

    Re: Windows 7

    Hi all.

Where can I download a Crack version of Avid Xpress??

    JUST KIDDING!!!

I upgraded to windows 7 and now cannot reinstall Avid Xpress Pro 5 (legal copy with dongle)

So what are my options besides spending money on the upgrade?  It is a great deal and all, but not money I can spend on this right now.

I'll keep looking, but if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

    Brit:

The only option you have to run Avid Express PRO is to install Windows XP Pro, SP 2, 32 bit. It is the only OS qualified for XPRO.
