    Select Right= Crash?

    Hi All,

I  haven't used the Select Righ/Left feature until recently, and when I choose Select Right, modify my selection by deselecting filler, then try and actually move the tracks, I get an error ( range specified for Dup is outside range of component)  and a crash.

Anyone else notice this?  It suppose it could be a glitch with some corrupt media, but thought I'd check here since everything else works perfectly fine.

    TIA

not suere I understand what you are trying to do... select right/remove filler and move TRACKS (to where? or do you mean clips? and what happens if you don't deselect filler?)

    Re: Select Right= Crash?

Sorry, yes I do mean move clips, but using the Select Right tool it selects all the clips on the entire track, from the scrubber forward.  I am attempting to slide everything up the timeline.

Same thing happens when I don't deselect filler.

Just trying to find out if this tool is working correctly for other users, if so it's probably a glitch in my timeline.

    Thanks,

This might be an old bug if you have a filler in the end of the Sequense, not sure if the latest patch will fix it

not at a set at the moment but what happens if you first set in and out points before right selecting?

    Re: Select Right= Crash?

Setting ins and outs doesn't seem to change anything, however I have noticed this same crashing behaviour when using segment tool to select several clips and then using the 'trim 1/10 frame' keys to slide them up the timeline.

So it's not the Select Right tool, but seems to be an issue with the segment tool or a combo of the segment tool and the trim keys.

    Anyone notice anything like this?

No, no filler at the end of the sequence.

    Re: Select Right= Crash?

Ok, that would have been my guess, an old known bug, no more ideas..
