    Creating muffled audio

    Hello all!

I'm editing a project in which a couple is watching a movie at the theater but are talking with each other throughout. I wanted to make the movie audio track sound muffled to make it more realistic.

I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to sound editing no matter what program I'm editing on. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

    Thanks!

Apply a D-Verb AudioSuite plugin to the movie sound. Set it to a small or medium room, set the effect to 100%. Then apply an EQ, severely reducing sounds over 12KHz.
