    Law Enforcement Avid

I have worked in OCSD video unit for the past 25 years.  First it was tape to tape, then betacam, then VideosToaster.  In 1993 we got the first Avid.  It was really buggy but did the job.  We tried FCP in 1999 but couldnt get it to work.  Went back to Avid.  We now have a 3,000 square foot studio with three Avid editing bays running Composer.  We have Avid Detective to enhance video for crime scenes.  It still has it's problems but the best way I can describe an Avid is it's like a Harley, best ride in the world but you better know how to fix a Harley!
