    Panasonic P2 "ghost" files

    Hi all,

For a few weeks we transferred a departement of our broadcaster from tape to P2 enviroment.

We dont use the classic AMA method.

We import P2 clips to bin, then media.

Before the go out again, they format the card.

    What is appearing now?

A person who shot some images on 26/05/2011 comes back and inserts the card, mounts it and imports the clips.

The selected bin fills up with (offline) clips from an earlier date (24/05/2011) that are of course offline since the ncard was formatted.

The new clips are not imported, allthough they exist on the card in exporer or camera.

This happened on several systems on seperate lanshare systems.

    Even on several diffirent locations.

It appears as avid is keeping some info stored in memory somewhere.

The workaround is to switch back to AMA and restart. After switching back again you can import the media.

    Anyone ever got this?

All systems are Z400 MC 4.0.5 on avid lanshare Unity 4.2.4

    Regards

    Driess
