Re: THE END OF PROBLEMS WITH MC 6

Sorry Larry, I presented only the possibility of another program.
If anyone tells falsehoods in this forum it is lack of knowledge of CS6. (Adobe Prelude CS6 ...)

George all the time I write about CS6 Adobe Production Premium, and not about Premiere Pro CS5.5. This is a completely new software package.
Only Avid Digital Studio has similar capabilities as Adobe CS6 Poduction Premium, Premiere Pro is only a small part of the whole package.
Perhaps You create a valuable and interesting work of assessing the amount of material.

Number of cuts does not provide even the complexity of the project or about professionalism.
Once every other day I assembled the reality-show 90 minutes from 8:00 to 20:00 and it was best for Avid Meridian MC 7.
Each editing program has something of value.
You can have the best brushes and be a bad artist.
What is important is the end result of installation, and not the program, which was carried out.
The most important is in the editor. Walter Murch edited the material on
Apple's iMovie better than students on Final Cut Pro. George see that link - BBC switches to Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 - whether it's amateur station?

    We don't agree.

The tools makes a whole difference.

Some people still believe that an image close to another is editing.

    I don't.

I also believe that the editing is taking place while shooting.

I may also be different from you at that.

No but they show what Media Composer is able to do.

So what you say here is that the whole Adobe package equals Media Composer?

Guys, we get it.  One of you likes PP, one likes MC.

Can we just move on please?  This discussion doesn't seem to be going anywhere that is constructive or relevant to other MC users.

I don't have anything against any other NLE.

I just think that all of those should only be .avx2 for Avid.

Sorry Kevin but the whole thread is to underestimate Avid.

I can accept anything anyone says about me but not for Avid.

And for the simple reason that there are so many films edited on that editor.

I don't see any constructiveness on that.

Re: THE END OF PROBLEMS WITH MC 6

I think the overall point here is that some people like Avid Media Composer and see it as superior, and other people like other editing applications, like Premiere Pro and think it is superior. And that's fine, everybody is entitled to their opinion. But I don't see any point in either of those user bases trying to prove that their choice is better than the other choice, because ultimately, no one is going to jump to the other side of the fence based on opinions expressed here. So in that manner, it's a waste of time to continue debating those merits here. We are all free to "agree to disagree" - that's what mature adults do when the discussion reaches an impass, instead of belaboring the same points over and over again.

But I will state again that the one thing that absolutely will not be tolerated here is insults or derogatory statements directly from one user aimed at another. So let's keep all discussions civil and courteous. Treat others as you expect to be treated in return.

George I'm sorry, I probably used the wrong word. I mean lack of knowledge of CS6

not  ignorance. I have changed my post.

P.S. Why Autosync creates subclip, not a group ?...

You can either Group or AutoSync in MC. The latter is most often used to pair picture and sound that were recorded on separate devices (AKA Double System). The first is most often used to pair angles from multicam shoots.
