    MC6 and Apple Pro Res

    Hi All,

I've been importing AppleProRes QTs camera footage into an Avid project and something strange happens. Sometimes when importing Avid will ask if I'd like to keep the original file resolution (AppleProRes422) and when I click yes it fast imports, which is great. Other times, with footage shot on the same camera, Avid will not import the clips natively. It forces a conversion to my media creation import settings.

I have compared the clips via Inspector in Quicktime, but both look exactly the same.

Can anyone explain why some clips work natively and others don't?

Currently working on Avid MC v6.0, on Z400, with Mojo.
