Can't Search Entire Script with 'Find' Command

My show has compiled all of our Script-Syncs into a single Master Script for each Character.

We did this so that we could search all the scripts at once per person. The problem is that when you use the 'Find' feature (Ctrl + F), it will only search in a very close proximity to what is displaed on the screen. Meaning, that if the word you are looking for is in the middle, or at the bottom of the script, it will not be referenced using the find tool, unless you physically scroll down, to where you can see on the screen.

Has anyone had this problem, or know a solution? This defeats the purpose of combining all scripts into, if we cant search the whole document.

We created the Master scripts, and script sync on Avid 4.0.5, and we access them on 4.0.5, 5.0, and 5.5.3, and all have the same search problem.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Andy
