How to create "XDCAM HD 50Mbits (1080i/60) place folder using CreateMaterClip() call?

I am creating placeholder for masterclip using the CreateMasterClip() Interplay WS. When created, there is no "Format" metadata (HD or SD) in Interplay Access. When I drag it to Media Composer bin, Master clip created in the bin and "Format" metadata is set to "SD 30i NTSC" and "Video" metadata is set to "DV 25 411 (NTSC)" even if Media Composer project format setting is "1080i/59.94".

How do I set "Format" metadata to "HD 1080i/59.94" and "Video" metadat to "XDCAM HD 50Mbits (1080i/60) for materclip created by Interplay WS?

    tiidavid,

The CreateMasterClip operation is used to create an empty master clip with the standard master clip metadata. This can be used as a placeholder for media that is to be captured later. Masterclips created with this operation can only be captured via the Batch Capture feature of Media Composer. If you batch capture the media in an HD 1080i project with the XDCAM HD resolution, it will create a new masterclip with that video and format shown in the bin.
