    Need help diagnosing digital line when exporting

    One of our HPZ800 workstations has been experienceing a very strange issue when exporting out a standard definition uncompressed MOV. Everytime we do an export we get a random digital line across the screen. See the picture below. I am not sure where to begin searching for this issue. Is this a ram issue? Perahps a video card problem? I do not think this is a software issue. Does anyone know what causes this? I have seen this before from other post production houses so I know we are not alone. Thank you.

    Are you using the correct nvidia driver?

    Even if you are it maybe worth adjusting the QualifiedGpuBoards.txt file so your card and driver are not supported so that MCc starts without ACPL support. Then test.

    Thanks Pat for the follow up.

     

    We are using Nvidia Driver 340.84 for our Quadro FX 4800 card.  Firmware versioin is 62.0.70.0.8. Raw Driver version is 9.18.13.4084

     

    Here are the system specs for this workstation

    Dual Zeon CPU, x5670, 2.93 Ghz

    12 GB ram - (12) 1 GB ECC DDR3 1333 MHz- Manufacturer JEDEC ID:80 CE

    64 bit Windows 7 Professional

    I will try what you suggessted in the QuaifiedGpuBoards.text file. I'll report back what I find. If you see something odd with our system specs please let me know.

    I deleted the my supported video card in the QualifiedGpuBoards.text file and so far I am not seeing the error. Any reason why this would cause these digital artifacts to appear on screen? I am thinking it has to deal with the GPU enhanced rendering but not sure. Could you explain?
