    HagridBase error: -1979514218

I am exerpiencing an issue with our online Avid suite which as the Nitris DX. In the current project that I am working on I am getting a HagridBase error.

    Exception:HagridBase: Err: 0|-1979514218|lk_interruptedobject.cpp|1184|Error Code:kLPKerr_CodecFatalDecodeError Msg: "Card2:Decode:Pipe1DecodeError"

I am suspecting either a bad Quicktime movie or the Nitrs DX. What is the best way to fix this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

based on my experience, this can be one of two things

first, you need to re seat the codec board inside your Nitris or two this is a problem with the codec used in your media that the Nitris doesn't like.

Thanks for your quick reply. I just ran the Avid DX hardware test and the system passed. So I am thinking this is media related. Half of the project was imported in as DNxHD185x while the other half was linked via AMA. When the problem was first introduced I transcoded the linked media to DNxHD185x. The problem is still there. I can fix the issue by removing the bad frame. But I am still wondering what caused this issue. Perhaps the AMA linking is the cause. Any thoughts.

    Thanks.

More likely the bad frame is causing the issue rather than AMA, especially if that frame doesn't play when using AMA.

Must think of something clever to go here...
