2nd Gen Mac Pro and Unity

Is it possible to connect the 2nd generation Mac Pro (black dustbin) model to Avid Unity? I believe you can connect to an ISIS using the ethernet port but I thought you needed to connect to Unity using a fibre cable. Could someone clear this up for me? Many thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure you will find the hardware adapter to allow a fibre connection, however the problem you will have is the Unity client software will only install on OSX 10.7 or less.

I've managed to force it to install on 10.9 but it gets imore flaky as the OS changes. (Slow to save bins, can't run administrator tool)

Personally I think it's terrible that Unity has not been supported on later OS versions as the hardware is still erfectly capable of doing the high end work it was designed for.
