    Title Transitions

Okay, so I have a long project with wall to wall titles on my uppermost track. When the title changes, I want it to fade out the old one, then fade in the new one. However, it will A) not let me center the fade on the cut, only start the fade from the start of the 2nd clip, no matter how much head/tail I have, and B) fade out all of the tracks below it, even though I specifically only applied it to one track, the title track. What's going on?!?

Have you tried dissolve rather than fade?
Adding a frame of Filler between each cut?

Yeah it's any effect. I realized the whole not letting me center it thing was because some of my titles were at the "max length" of AVID titles (which is frustrating by itself) which meant I had to artificially chop it up to create heads and tails, but I still can't add the effects without it applying to all the tracks below it.

Ah okay hang on. This is weird. When I play it at full speed, it fades out all my layers when I only want to do one. When I do frame by frame however, it looks like it does exactly what I want it to do. Could it be a weird rendering thing?

Which OS and MC versions are you using?

It will fade all your layers when you have too much effect layers at the same place.

In this case, try to render your effects (or at least the upper track) and you'll see your fades correctly.
