    Reverse match frame bug?

    Hi,

for the couple of last MC versions the reverse match frame function seems to be broken. It eather doesn't do anything or matches the wrong frame. Have tested it in different Avid projects.

    thanks,

    Re: Reverse match frame bug?

I have just tested "Match Frame" and "Reverse match Frame" with MC version 2018.1. Both work fine here.

    Re: Reverse match frame bug?

Tested again on MC 8.9.4 without creating new user settings, reverse match frame only works with its own button, does not work with 'CTRL-match frame button' like it used to do. May seem a minor problem, but, given the limited number of buttons available under the player window, keeping over there the Match Frame button alone being able to 'CTRL-match frame' to reverse and not having to keep both the Match Frame and the Reverse Match Frame buttons was very convenient, at least for me, other editors might not use those commands as much as I do.

    Re: Reverse match frame bug?

Creating new project or new user settings didn't help.

Looks like the problem occurs only with subclips which are created with Autosync containing video and on the set recorded audio ISO files. I know these subclips worked fine couple of versions ago.

Reverse match frame with masterclips works correctly.

Does anybody else have the problem?

Obviously reverse match frame has been fixed, even if It wasn't broken. If only the changes could be reverted...

    Re: Reverse match frame bug?

I am also having the same issue, and am on the latest version 2018.1

I agree it seems to be on sub clips which have been synced via Autosync, My reverse match frame works on mute subclips but anything with sound does not reverse match frame, this is a pretty annoying bug.

    Anyone have any other suggestions?

    Re: Reverse match frame bug?

I'm having this issue as well and I really rely on this A LOT! This is a HUGE issue for editing if you are used to it when working with a director/prducer in the room.

This is a fresh install of 8.9.4, with newly made user settings, OS X El Capitan.

On my system, when matching from the edit to source it gets the wrong frame, around a second off, and if I do it again right away without moving to another frame, it picks a different frame rather than give me the error beep. Then if I keep doing it it jumps back and forth between the two incorrect frames it has decided it should match to.

It is not working at all now to match from source to record. It used to do the incorrect match. Not sure why that changed.

I'm using autosynced clips. If I match back to the master it still doesn't work from source to record but does match correctly from record to source.

What's the outlook for a patch to fix this in 8.9.4?

    Thanks!

Oops! I found this thread with a search, and just noticed this is in the PC forum. Still, bug exists. Will post my post in the Mac forum now. Maybe it'll get some traction!
