Avid 8.8.2 XDCAM HD files being rejected for Macro Blocking

    Hey Guys,

I'm having an issue with XDCAM HD files that avid creates not passing quality control. Every file I make has a few frames where macro blocking is present.  Is there anyway around this or do I need to use another program when creating XDCAM HD files?

I have vague memories of having this issue a while back.  It was a MC problem if I remember correctly and was fixed in a later update.

If that is the case, does anyone know what version of avid fixed this problem? I'm currently on 8.8.2

Media encoder does a better job of making XDCAM files over Avid as far as video quality goes. The problem with media encoder is that it can't apply AFD to the data track otherwise I would be making all my XDCAM files with it.
