    No audio timecode detected

Hey everyone! I'm having issues getting MC to read audio timecode from Resolve created DNxHD36 proxies. I'm able to read the TC from the source files (MP4s from a GoPro) in Tentacle Sync Studio. But for some reason, Avid isn't able to read the TC from the proxies. Any thoughts?

    Things I've tried:

Running MC Ver 2018.7.1, just upgraded to latest version, also doesn't work.

Have tested letting MC ingest / transcode the source files. Also, doesn't work.

Noticed the clip was center panned, set to L/R pan. Also, doesn't work.

Looking closely at the waveform in Audition, I can see that there are a few milliseconds of silence at the start of the file. Could this be the issue?

Worst case scenario I can use the Tentacle Sync tool to create new media with embedded timecode, but I'd rather not have go down that path, creating duplicate media = more storage and means I have to re-encode all the proxies.

Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

    Re: No audio timecode detected

Read timecode works on timecode breaks so I doubt it’s the silence at the top.

Maybe export a section & try? - upload a bit here & have others try?

    Increase gain ?

Try LTC from a different source (online LTC generator)?

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/q7v20l8ma3t1zsa/AVID%20READ%20AUDIO%20TIMECODE.zip?dl=0

Has LTC generated wav file (also an MP3 conversion) - both import & Read OK

"gapped_" version has a gap at the start - imports & reads OK

"edited_" version has edits within it - imports & reads OK (accurate to actual edited audio LTC)

"edited - low level" version is same but with gain lowered to -40dB - imports & reads OK

Tested on Avid 2018.7.0 on OSX 10.12.6

    Hope that helps
