MC First Project Folder Location - Issues - questions

Hi Folks! Sorry for the length. MC First Question on the location and behavior of the Project folder in Win10:

Discolsure - I teach Video Production to high schoolers and we have one Nexus server in our facility and one in a production truck (yes, we're a high school!) We manage roughly 26 user stations in our facility cranking on regular MC so we're not Avid neophytes. In this case, I teach our first year students (10th grade) on MC1st in a separate lab to get them started on the interface, some keyboard shortcuts, basic cuts editing, title tool, audio tools, etc... We joke that we make little Avid editors! But I'm having some issues with project folders and permissions and am looking for counsel on how to fix things when they go bad...

So, upon install there's a folder called, "MC First Avid Projects," that gets created in the Documents folder and appears to be auto-mapped when you launch MC First. (It is the address in the Location field in the splash screen.) All subsequent projects and setting folders get created there as well. Because I have two classes I have two students on one computer in different periods and that's where things go bad trying to keep project folders separated and then trying to clean up the mess.

So lets say a student is not paying attention (despite having several verbal and visual login demos AND written directions with pictures!) and somehow maps a project (using the little white folder icon) to another student's project folder? Then they work, close the project, close MC 1st, sign out of app manager, log off computer - all in the correct order - happy with themself on a good day editing! Only to return the next day, however, to discover after he/she logs in to their computer, app mgr and launches MC 1st, they're faced with an error message that basically says, paraphrasing here: sorry mr. user xxxxx but you don't have "permission to access folder xxxxx on this path: c\user xxxxx..."

What I would like to know is how to move said wayward project folder back inside the correct folder and/or "remap" or "repoint" MC 1st for lack of a better phrase back to it's rightful location? The issue is the permissions error is a road block, it stops the launch cold. The only way I can unstick the failed launch is to sign them out of app mgr which then releases the online connection and then stops the launch. But the problem of the wayward project folder in the wrong folder they're now not allowed to access still remains.

While I can easily copy/drag-drop the wayward project folder back into the aforementioned MC First Projects Folder, I can't launch the software to remap/repoint because of the permissions violation.

Yes, I realize this is a freeware programand it's designed for one user-one computer but there's got to be a way to fix this. Any counsel would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

    System specs: HP Z2, Win10 Build 1803, 16gb RAM, MC1st/App Mgr v2018.10
