    Getting a 16 x 9 output

I'm shooting my first project in 16 x 9 and editing on Media Composer 12.0.  I can't figure out how to maintain the 16 x 9 ratio (letterbox) on output?  Can anyone help me?

Also, can I get that footage to edit in 4 x 3.  It just compresses when brought in.

Your material is anamorphic.  Use the reformat feature to make a letterbox version of your project.  Or a resize effect of 75 % height.
