Can't see clips in source or record monitor MC2019.6

    Hi,

After the new update I cant se any files in any of the monitors. Now its black and sometimes it shows a freeze frame from the clip.

I tried to look att diffrent sequenses, look at the original clips and also look at the transcoded clips. When I play from timeline or directly in source monitor I can hear the sound but the monitor is black or its frozen.

I will attach a printscreen from my two screens. Maby I have missed something obvious.

    Thank!

    Hi simon,

        What OS version?

If you're in Mojave try 10.14.5.

I’m getting something similar.  Whenever I move or dock a bin the viewers go black. Have to resize by dragging the border between viewers and timeline to get them back.

Using a new MacBook Pro, latest OS with a 4K LG as additional monitor.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late repost. Went away but now i'm back working.

The problem was fixed easy after a OS update. I dont remeber which version I had before but its working with 10.14.5.

    Thank!

I'm on 10.14.6 and geting the same probelm. If I work in the record window for too long, the clips in the source window stop displaying. I can hear the audio when playing, but can't see video.

Fixed by restarting, but annoying to restart 10+ times a day.

Yep. Same here for me. Mojove 10.14.6.  In a late 2018 mac mini. I'm hoping when Catalina is approved, the next version of Avid will sort this out.

Re: Can't see clips in source or record monitor MC2019.6

Here with an update to this situation.

Seems like the source monitor goes black when I use the segment arrow to move clips in my timeline. That is definitely what sets the problem off for me.

The interim fix I have been using: When the monitor goes black, I go to Windows > Workspaces and select the workspace I'm already in. This kind of "refreshes" the workspace and I get my source monitor back.

Not great, but better than restarting every time!

Good tip! I went ahead and mapped that command to my toolbar so 'one click' and we're back to work!
